About magdaZINE
magdaZINE is the personal web playground for multimedia artist and all-around creative instigator, Magda Diaz.
The first edition of magdaZINE appeared back in the dark ages of the internet in 1995. It featured state-of-the art animated GIFs and was chock full of creative goodness and stories inspired by the mind, life, and times of Magda and her world. In some ways it was one of the first blogs, but in other ways much more. Hand-coded and handcrafted web pages bursting with creative enthusiasm and from time to time, unbridled disgruntlement.

After a site revamp in 2005, magdaZINE’s previously exclusive A-list audience had been compromised. All the former newbies, trailer trash, and pretend-friends had finally learned how to use a web browser, and were seeking Magda out. The details are too brutal to mention here, but needless to say they included unsolicited phone calls, emails, and some even had the gall to bid on magdaZINE eBay auctions. The horror!
The pressure of celebrity grew unbearable for Magda so she immediately shut down the site. She continued to work on various creative web projects, but soon discovered that she needed a central clearing house for all things Magda.Blogger and other social networking sites have not done the trick so it is with a bit of trepidation and all her security shields up that magdaZINE once again shines.
Please be gentle with her this time…
